Photography was directed by Jacques Ballard, a specialist in underwater cinematography.

Round About Hollywood

This short travelogue depicts snippets of locations in Hollywood, California, most of them as seen from the streets. Considerable time is taken showing the kinds of architecture of private homes. There are images of various important buildings, and a depiction of the Hollywood Bowl. Finally, there is a sequence revolving around the premiere of the film “Dirigible” (1931) at the famed Chinese Theatre.

Look at Life

Look at Life is a short student film by George Lucas, produced for a course in animation while Lucas was a film student at USC Film School. The film's running time of exactly one minute was required by the course. This was the first film made by George Lucas and was heavily influenced by Canadian filmmaker Arthur Lipsett.

Toponymy

From toponymy, a branch of linguistics, to politics, the links can be quite unexpected. These are which are sought to be revealed in the new fi lm by Jonathan Perel who uses his filmwork as a tool to explore and accurately document the marks left by previous dictators of Argentina. We are in the province of Tucuman, in the north of Argentina, an emblematic region where the fi rst Act of Independence in South America was signed in 1816 and where the “Operation Independence” took place in 1974, during which the guerillas’ insurgence was violently repressed.

Hunger
