In Prague, a professorial puppet, with metal pincers for hands and an open book for a hat, takes a boy as a pupil. First, the professor empties fluff and toys from the child's head, leaving him without the top of his head for most of the film. The professor then teaches the lad about illusions and perspectives, the pursuit of an object through exploring a bank of drawers, divining an object, and the migration of forms. The child then brings out a box with a tarantula in it: the professor puts his "hands" into the box and describes what he feels. The boy receives a final lesson about animation and film making; then the professor gives him a brain and his own open-book hat.

Six superheroines, The Scoundrel Squad, banter and prepare to not take on another adventure. “Scoundrel Squad” is a love letter and interpretive take on the superhero comics of the 60s and 70s reimagined through the lens of my friends and me.
Ms. Hopeless Romantic is a manifestation of the romanticization of “the chase.” The film follows a narrative arc of a teenage girl who prints an incomprehensible and perhaps ridiculous number of posters with her phone number and alias, and puts them in increasingly unrealistic places. This film isn’t about “the one,” and it’s certainly not a love story, at least not between two people. Instead, it reflects the glamorization of this journey. She’s a hopeless romantic, yes, but actually, she’s hopelessly in love with herself.
An hour-long animated film, following the story of a willow tree, as it searches for its place in the forest, meets fellow trees, and survives against the forces of nature and humankind.
SMUCKERS, the documentary, follows both the narrative being told throughout the song and the making of it, while also exploring the meaning behind art and intentions. SMUCKERS, though about many things, is to me an expression of the importance of making art, or doing something, for the enjoyment of the process and the love for the work. The song “SMUCKERS” is so unconventional in manner and reasoning but that’s part of what makes it so relevant and great. I hope to carry this truth into my documentary as the art, and the love it therefore speaks for itself.
