From the south of Spain to the north of Turkey to the south west of Germany, Once in a lifetime is a new series telling the story of three very different clubs made up of three very different people, in three very different places, that all share one thing in common. A very long wait to win something. We headed to Trabzon, home to Trabzonspor, the only non Istanbul team who had the audacity to consistently compete with the big Turkish clubs on and off the pitch. With the club on the verge of winning their first 'official' title in 38 years, we headed to the city on the week of the deciding game. What we came across was a story, a fanbase, and a match day atmosphere that was as memorable as anything we have ever come across.

Mundial: The Highest Stakes

A documentary tale about sport and politics under martial law. All of Poland saw the great goals of Boniek and Smolarek during the Espana '82 championships. For a moment, it was forgotten that the background of the sporting performance was martial law, censorship, an army on the streets, prisons filled with oppositionists. The performance of the players was so successful that it was called "the most beautiful series of martial law". The game is watched by interned activists of "Solidarity", sports journalists and censors, cutting out all manifestations of the opposition from television broadcasts. We also get to know the performance in Spain from the perspective of the players, trying to meet not only their ambitions but also to bear the burden of fans' expectations and regime propaganda.

F1 Review 1994

The official two-hour review of the 1994 season - a year packed with controversy, triumph & tragedy, and lots of ‘down-to-the-wire’ racing. The season will always be remembered for the tragic accident which claimed the life of one of the all-time-greats, Ayrton Senna in the San Marino round on the Imola circuit. Damon Hill took the number one seat at Williams-Renault from Round 4 on, but the 1994 Championship appeared to belong to Michael Schumacher. But then he lost valuable points in controversial circumstances and had to sit out two races. As a result Hill was able to close to within one point following the rain-soaked Japanese Grand Prix.

This touching documentary follows a cast of blind and visually impaired actors as they prepare Dancing to Beethoven, a play about blindness. The film takes us deep into the lives of the actors. We hear stories of their shock and disbelief at first losing sight and of their struggles coping with a life without it. We hear them talk about grieving and pining for the visual world. They tell the moving story of how this play is itself a victory, a type of salvation, for each of them. By opening night, at the renowned Place des Arts in Montreal, they are a close-knit cast, well-honed and ready to step out of the wings and into the light.

It tells the story of an accident, a life to reinvent, and the decisions to continue the journey.
