This short documentary profiles a group of men from the Toronto Lakeshore Oldtimers Hockey Club. Although middle-aged, they still play the game with as much energy and passion as they did 25 years ago. They claim that playing hockey is more fun now than it was when they were kids, despite the toll of aches and pains, injuries, gruelling schedules and late-night partying. Cares and responsibilities are cast aside once they are on the ice, and the locker room becomes a haven of uncomplicated camaraderie and fun. In refusing to grow old gracefully, they feel they won't grow old at all!

What we came across was a story, a fanbase, and a match day atmosphere that was as memorable as anything we have ever come across.

A cartoon film about the whole heterogeneous mixture of Canada and Canadians, and the way the invisible adhesive called federalism makes it all cling together. That the dissenting voices are many is made amply evident, in English and French. But this animated message also shows that Canadians can laugh at themselves and work out their problems objectively.

Zlato doma

Ten men who brought Czech hockey back to the top talk about the 2024 World Championships in Prague. They share interesting details and stories about how the team of future champions came together and, at least for a time, united the entire hockey-loving nation around them. During the 17 days of the tournament, it became clear that the World Ice Hockey Championships are most at home in Czechia... F1 Review 1994

The official two-hour review of the 1994 season - a year packed with controversy, triumph & tragedy, and lots of ‘down-to-the-wire’ racing. The season will always be remembered for the tragic accident which claimed the life of one of the all-time-greats, Ayrton Senna in the San Marino round on the Imola circuit. Damon Hill took the number one seat at Williams-Renault from Round 4 on, but the 1994 Championship appeared to belong to Michael Schumacher. But then he lost valuable points in controversial circumstances and had to sit out two races. As a result Hill was able to close to within one point following the rain-soaked Japanese Grand Prix.

Student/Athlete

Profiling Notre Dame kicker Reggie Ho, who played for one season and helped the team go undefeated in 1988. As a walk-on, Ho received no financial support from the school. He was a pure student-athlete who played for the love of the game and for the love of Notre Dame.

How Great It Was

A film about an aging men's field hockey team from the Netherlands - average age: 70! - that has been playing together for over 50 years. They have decided to stop playing because they can't keep up with the 65-year olds… A portrait of a regional team of friends who are growing old together… And they are about to play their very last game together. Mundial: The Highest Stakes

A documentary tale about sport and politics under martial law. All of Poland saw the great goals of Boniek and Smolarek during the Espana '82 championships. For a moment, it was forgotten that the background of the sporting performance was martial law, censorship, an army on the streets, prisons filled with oppositionists. The performance of the players was so successful that it was called "the most beautiful series of martial law". The game is watched by interned activists of "Solidarity", sports journalists and censors, cutting out all manifestations of the opposition from television broadcasts. We also get to know the performance in Spain from the perspective of the players, trying to meet not only their ambitions but also to bear the burden of fans' expectations and regime propaganda.
