Overview

In August 2023, three friends set themselves a friendly challenge: to climb a particularly difficult route. A 9a grade in the French system corresponds to 5.14d in the Yosemite decimal system. In September 2023, summer over, the three friends got to work. They trained with the same intensity as ever, working on their separate projects, climbing, and exchanging messages about their progress, difficulties, and setbacks. Follow Alex Honnold, Tommy Caldwell, and Sonnie Trotter as they share their thoughts on balancing family, work, and their climbing journeys.

A film crew accompanied the exceptional athlete from Garmisch-Partenkirchen for three and a half weeks on her expedition to the spectacular Ama Dablam in Nepal. The biathlon legend talks about her life as a mountain guide and alpinist after her sporting career, without concealing the dangers involved.
