The Supporter

The Supporter is a short film that provides an insight into Swedish supporter culture. Through its main character Axel we are drawn into a world of dependency, affirmation and violence. Hooliganism is an ever-present phenomenon, reported on daily in the media. We see how a more organized criminality blends in with families with children and ordinary fans. And all the time we ask the question: 'how close is this violence to ourselves?'

Techno, Mama

Nikita loves to listen to techno music and dreams to go to Berlin and visit the famous club “Berghain”. His mother Irena doesn’t know about his son’s dreams and soon enough their mutual expectations will clash.

Canary Yellow

After the sudden death of his father in a car crash, Ryan, his 17-year-old son, finds himself isolated and alone as his mother falls apart. Though at first unclear, we soon understand the distance between the pair as we realise the truth of the man’s past: that he was the driver in the crash that killed his father. As Ryan desperately clings to fragments of his former life, it is only when he is stripped of nearly everything that he realises he must confront his grief head-on and face the haunting demons of his past.

When his weary major is ordered to take a vacation, the son talks him into a visit to his family home.
