The film, based on the artistic-documentary aesthetics, is about the fate of three sons of the Javanshir dynasty, who are connected to Karabakh and this corner of Azerbaijan - Mahammad bey Ashiq, who lived in the 18th century, Abdussamad bey Ashiq, who lived in the 19th century, and Khosrov bey Javanshir, who lived in the 20th century. These three personalities, influential poets and public figures of their time, were subjected to persecution and repression during the Russian and Soviet empires.
What does it mean to belong to a place, a country? In a south Tel Aviv elementary school, that question is addressed head-on by a fourth-grade class and their teacher. The children are asylum seekers whose families mostly do not have a legal status in Israel, yet learn, sing and play in Hebrew all the while examining their identity and sense of belonging.

Their children are the only ones that are still full of hope. They imagine their future lives and picture themselves as doctors or engineers. But these are pipe dreams. All they can actually look forward to is farming the land with primitive tools like their parents, getting a menial job in the city or becoming brainwashed soldiers..
