Standing on the Line takes a fresh and often moving look at some of our gay athletes, who share their experiences with the camera. They’ve set out to overcome prejudice in the hopes of changing things for the athletes of tomorrow.

The Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat

A group of people are standing along the platform of a railway station in La Ciotat, waiting for a train. One is seen coming, at some distance, and eventually stops at the platform. Doors of the railway-cars open and attendants help passengers off and on. Popular legend has it that, when this film was shown, the first-night audience fled the café in terror, fearing being run over by the "approaching" train. This legend has since been identified as promotional embellishment, though there is evidence to suggest that people were astounded at the capabilities of the Lumières' cinématographe.

Jürgen Klopp: From the Black Forest to Europe's Football Throne

At a similar pace to that at which German football coach Jürgen Klopp won over the whole of Germany with his charisma and conviction for the then still unknown style of full-throttle football, he is now conquering England's traditional heart of football with Liverpool FC. Chelsea FC - Season Review 2019/20
