Adoniran Barbosa bears the title of São Paulo's greatest samba singer of all time. Through the artist's personal collection, rare archive images and testimonials from friends and family, discover a multifaceted character who portrayed his São Paulo in songs and radio characters. Wicked Duchess

Edwige Feuillère and Pierre Richard-Willm star in director Jacques de Baroncelli's adaptation of the Balzac novella The Duchesse de Langeais, which tells the tale of a Parisian socialite who is romantically pursued by a Napoleonic war hero. With a screenplay by Jean Giraudoux.

Tamalpais

Shot on Mount Tamalpais, a spatial matrix replaces temporal causality with contiguous space. A view of landscape is taken apart, to be reconstituted through memory. The grid, a reference to the “veil of threads” invented by Albrecht Dürer as an aid for perspective drawing – to transfer vision to a sheet of paper – is used for an opposite effect – to disperse a landscape across time. The viewer is asked to remember the space as it passes and reconstitute it from memory, actively connecting the image across space and time.

Vetri Selvan

Vetri (Ajmal), Professor (Mano) and Ganesh run away from Chennai to Ooty, where they meet a lawyer Sujatha (Radhika Apte). For Sujatha it is love at first sight as she falls for Vetri. Sujatha discovers after an accident that police are on their trail and they are accused in a murder case after escaping from a mental health institute.

A Day at the Beach

After Bernd (Cas Enklaar) picks up his daughter Walyne (Tara Fallaux) who lives with her mother, he takes her off for a supposed day of fun together. His idea of fun is to get his hands on as much free alcohol as he can, and as a result of his carelessness he and his daughter are constantly separated. Each time they reunite, he finds a new group of people for a few more drinks, and another round starts -- as a consequence, there is no build-up to the climax at the end.
