A documentary about the first Czech climber Klára Kolouchová, who reached the top of K2. A film about the human need to overcome obstacles, the limits of one's own comfort, the need for higher goals that most people do not understand, about trying to discover what is behind the passion to overcome oneself, but mainly about how difficult it is to balance the position of woman - mother - climber , who is often forced to explain and defend before others her need to flee to the solitude of the mountains, much more than if she were a man. Can a woman today really freely try to achieve something great, while not behaving selfishly towards her surroundings and family?

To the Limit

At the Limit is a documentary about extreme climbing. In this sports documentary, Pepe Danquart shows brothers Thomas and Alexander Huber climbing in Patagonia and on the granite rock "El Capitan" in Yosemite Valley (USA). A key part of the film is their attempt at a speed ascent of the 1,000-meter-high route "The Nose," in which the two athletes aim to break the then speed record of 2:48:30 hours, set by Hans Florine and Yuji Hirayama in September 2002.

Lost in the Wilderness

The life and travels of adventurer Naomi Uemura, who disappeared in Alaska in 1984. A member of the first Japanese expedition to reach the summit of Mt Everest in 1970, Uemura also accomplished several "firsts". He was the first man to reach the North Pole solo, climb Denali solo, and float down the Amazon river solo. In the film, Uemura returns to Tokyo after a stint in Siorapaluk in Northern Greenland. In Tokyo, he reconnects with an old friend and, over coffee, shares his life story - from his days as a college dropout to his successful expedition to the top of Everest.

Everest from Within

This feature-length documentary retraces the journey of 4 Canadians who set off to climb the perilous north side of Mount Everest without the use of oxygen or sherpas. The group's ordeal gives us a rare insight into the human condition under stress, and, while immobilized on the edge of the mountain by extreme weather, we share the tensions that afflict the group's solidarity - threatening the dream of attaining the summit itself.

Their objective is to make the first ascent of the extraordinary 1200m long north-west ridge.
