This year Tobias Sammet's Avantasia will once again bring us an amazing all-star show with many famous musicians. Furthermore we can proudly say that it's the 12th time that Tobias Sammet visits Wacken and it's the fourth time he does it with Avantasia. Today we can also let the cat out of the bag and announce the bands awesome line-up for Wacken 2017!
In 2009 Wacken Open Air celebrated it´s 20th Anniversary with a giant party and as usual it was recorded on DVD. With a duration of more than 500 minutes on 3 DVD´s it´s the biggest Wacken live DVD ever! Included are videos of more than 60 bands, 70 live tracks in 5.1 / 2.0 Dolby Digital and additionally masses of documentations and our world record – the world´s longest dvd credits with more than 17500 participants!
Celebrating their 35 anniversary, Germany’s most successful Heavy Metal band, Scorpions, invited former members Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker and Herman Rarebell to join them onstage at Wacken Open Air 2006. Billed as “A Night To Remember, A Journey Through Time”, the August 3rd performance’s setlist was voted on by fans around the world via the Scorpions’ website and witnessed by over 60,000 metalheads in attendance.
If you think it couldn't get any bigger, than you have to watch this DVD. Sold out in March, more than 5 month before the festival, 90,000 Metal Heads followed the call to celebrate the biggest Metal Fest in the World. This mega-event can now be celebrated at home!!
This DVD features concerts filmed at Germany's Wacken Festival and at the Japanese Loudpark Festival in 2007. It also includes four video clips.
