True Life

Mack Dawg Productions “True Life” is state of the art snowboarding as seen by the Forum team; Devun Walsh, JP Walker, Bjorn Leines, Peter LIne, Jeremy Jones, Joni Malmi, Chris Dufficy, Nate Bozung, and Mike Page and special co appearances by their friends. This is a snowboarder’s movie about snowboarding and life on the road. Each rider was heavily invovled in both filming and editing their part to create the most ‘True Life’ team video to date.

Mack Dawg Productions is proud to present our latest work, “From __, with Love”. This is by far the best film we have ever made. Shot in 16mm film “From __, with Love” brings you into the lives of fifteen of the best snowboarders in the world. Follow the MDP crew as we traverse the globe in search of the most progressive snowboarding to date. From Russia to California, Finland to Alaska, Norway to Austria you will see huge jumps, insane rails, deep powder, and all the fun stuff in between, The DVD contains two completely different cuts. The first is travel based and highlights the adventures that we encountered throughout the season. The second sut is athlete based and only shows each riders highlights. PEOPLE is a new collaboration of riders and filmers from Mack Dawg Productions. Directed by Pierre Minhondo and Justin Eeles. This newly formed collective combines the talents, attitude, and fun-loving folks from such films as kidsKNOW’s “Burning Bridges,” and Neoproto’s “Some Kinda Life”. Under Stress

Shows new methods in treating those afflicted with mental health issues. Contrasts past treatment regimes where people were locked away out of sight with the new, 1960s, psychiatric ideas of "group therapy" and talking therapy. Also shows practical behaviours aimed at returning patients to productive lives in society and outpatient services.

Piblokto

On the coast of the Arctic Ocean of Chukotka live people cut off from the world. Their life revolves around hunting walruses and whales and protecting villages from bears coming from the tundra. This turns the film into a reflection on death. Marine animals become the food of people, animal leftovers are used to feed arctic foxes on a fur farm, human cemeteries become prey for bears. It seems that all the inhabitants of these places are involved in the cycle of food and death. The film departs from the usual rhythmic structure of cinema, being built on the principle of a shamanic ritual, a meaning-forming event for northern peoples.

Temporary Identity

What does it mean to belong to a place, a country? In a south Tel Aviv elementary school, that question is addressed head-on by a fourth-grade class and their teacher. The children are asylum seekers whose families mostly do not have a legal status in Israel, yet learn, sing and play in Hebrew all the while examining their identity and sense of belonging.

This documentary short, produced for West Virginia public TV's "Different Drummer" series, introduces us to Jesco White, a hard-living, tap-dancing Boone County resident whose repeated run-ins with the law have interfered with his dream of becoming as renowned a "mountain dancer" as his late father, D. Ray White. We meet Jesco's three distinct personalities; the gentle and loving Jesse, the violent and dangerous Jesco, and the extremely strange Elvis. We also encounter various members of Jesco's family, all nearly as eccentric as Jesco himself. You will ask, "Are these people for real?" Yes, they are.
