Chelsea FC - Season Review 2010/11

The 2010/11 season proved a rollercoaster journey for everyone involved at Chelsea FC. The club fought for the greatest honours both domestically and abroad in a thrilling season that ultimately ended in disappointment but not without some unforgettable moments that will be cherished by the players and fans. The season began with a bang. The team started in scintillating fashion winning their first six games with a flurry of goals as they romped to the top of the table. But ultimately, a mid-season slump in form cost the Blues. There was also heartbreak in the Champions League and a penalty loss to Everton in The FA Cup but the manner in which Chelsea pushed Manchester United right to the wire means that the 2011/12 season promises to be a memorable one! It was another season full of drama at Stamford Bridge, and although it didn't all go our way there were plenty of memories to savour. Whether it was Willian's set-piece perfection or Eden Hazard's late flurry of goals, the Blues provided glorious moments during a challenging campaign. New Nemuro Pro Wrestling Story

In 2006, Samson Miyamoto, a toy store owner in Nemuro, Hokkaido, founded "New Nemuro Pro Wrestling" to promote his love of wrestling and revitalize his hometown. His wrestlers were local customers and dairy farmers, many of whom had been bullied or were withdrawn. In 2019, Miyamoto was diagnosed with a serious illness. He promised a comeback for his October retirement match but passed away the following year. Three years later, after the COVID-19 pandemic, the former members reunited in Tokyo’s Shinkiba ring, honoring Samson’s legacy.

ROLLER DERBY IN THE LOW COUNTRIES

In this short documentary, we take a look at the history and future of roller derby in the Netherlands, while also touching on subjects such as image and the rise of men’s teams in this traditionally female sport. We tried to capture the Roller Derby culture with grungy 16mm film overlays and an eclectic mix of colors, switching from black and white, back to color. This, combined with the use of stock footage, the Whip It trailer and choice of music really help to sell the vibe and sensibilities of roller derby.

13 Days in France

This colorful documentary chronicles the events of the 1968 Winter Olympics in France. The events made international celebrities of skater Peggy Fleming and skier Jean-Claude Killy for their gold-medal performances. The camera accurately catches the speed of bobsleds and downhill racers and ski jumpers as they race for the gold. President Charles DeGaulle is shown observing the action over 13 days, which saw France earn the best performance to date in the winter games.
