The first eight, released as prequels in the lead-up to the film, follow individual members of the Rainbooms as they each discover the instrument that awakens their magic, from Rainbow Dash's guitar showdown with Trixie to Fluttershy calming a hamster stampede with a tambourine. The remaining three, released afterward as "encore" music videos, spotlight Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, and Rarity in songs. Though not part of the film itself, the shorts fill in the story of how the girls' band came together.

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Friendship Games Shorts

Dark Shadows
