It is known to be the world's first drama serial ever transmitted, and explained the trials of a couple named Ann and Harold respectively, and starred Ann Todd. They make friends with Sam, a human boy whose mother is away most of the time. Sam soon finds out about their zombie powers and all three make a team of friends. Sam uses an old railway carriage as his haunt. The plot often involves a risk of the discovery of Maggot and Fungus' zombie nature and the three trying to prevent this. The hotel itself is one of several main locations used in the show. Others include the school and Sam's railway carriage.

Uti vår hage was a Norwegian sketch comedy television program which had two different runs on TV in 2003 and 2008 on the Norwegian state channel NRK. The show starred the three well-known comedians: Atle Antonsen, Harald Eia and Bård Tufte Johansen. The format of the show was one main storyline that would gradually branch off into several separate minor storylines. Two series of the show have been produced, and the second series carries the title Uti vår hage 2. The show has introduced popular characters like "Lena" from Døden på Oslo S and "Oslolosen". The first season consisted of six episodes and was first broadcast in September and October 2003, while the second season was aired in January – March 2008, with seven ordinary episodes and one special. The first season was the first occasion where the three comedians worked together.

Weird Nature is a 2002 documentary television series produced by John Downer Productions for the BBC and Discovery Channel. The series features strange behavior in nature—specifically, the animal world. The series now airs on the Science Channel. The series took three years to make and a new filming technique was used to show animal movements in 3D. Each episode, however, tended to end with a piece about how humans are probably the oddest species of all. For example, in the end of the episode about locomotion, the narrator states how unusual it is for a mammal to be bipedal. In the episode about defences, the narrator explains that humans have no real natural defences, save for their big brains.
