Fame

Fame is a television series that ran on NBC in the summer of 2003. The show was essentially NBC's attempt to duplicate the success of mega-hit American Idol, right down to their selection of judges. Former pop star Carnie Wilson was similar in her judgements to American Idol's Paula Abdul, Johnny Wright, the veteran music producer, was the show's analogue of Randy Jackson, and JoJo Wright was, like Simon Cowell, the judge who says things to stir people up. The show retained the original Fame theme music, as well as producer Debbie Allen. Former boy band member Joey Fatone was the official host of the show, but Allen also made frequent appearances. The show was based on the Italian show Saranno Famosi, where young talented dancers, singers and actors attended a school to became real superstars. The main goal of the show was to make all the challengers able to dance, sing and act and so to be complete. It still airs in Italy.

Popstars

Popstars was a Brazilian reality television series based on the Popstars international series. In Brazil, Popstars was produced by RGB and broadcast on the Brazilian Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão channel. Two series was broadcast for two seasons in 2002 and 2003, after which it was discontinued. Popstars was a prime time program introduced on SBT to counter very successful reality television programs introduced by Rede Globo television chain via their series Casa dos Artistas and No Limite. The Brazilian Popstar series was broadcast for two seasons in 2002 and 2003.

Norske Talenter is a Norwegian talent show with the same format as Britain's Got Talent. 16-year old singer Erlend Bratland won the first series and hip hop dance group Quick won the second series. Judges are music producer Jan Fredrik Karlsen, singer and actress Mia Gundersen and comedian/actor Thomas Giertsen. In 2007 Marte Stokstad and Sturla Berg-Johansen were hosts, and in 2008 Berg-Johansen joined Pia Lykke to be hosts. Amagi appears fixated with time which seems to have no relation with a case. Raising questions about the timelines of the perpetrator and victim derived from the estimated time of death, time of crime, time of alibi, and time limit, he searches for the meaning of "blank time" which arises from this. He obsesses over the weight of every minute and second of time because of some incident.
