Overview

The Ultimate Fighter is an American reality television series and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Pilgrim Media Group currently airing on ESPN+. It previously aired for fourteen seasons on Spike TV. The show features professional MMA fighters living together in Las Vegas, Nevada, and follows them as they train and compete against each other for a prized six-figure contract with the UFC. The series debuted on January 17, 2005.

American Gladiators is an American competition television program that aired weekly in syndication from September 1989 to May 1996. The series matched a cast of amateur athletes against each other, as well as against the show's own gladiators, in contests of strength and agility. The concept was created by Dan Carr and John C. Ferraro, who held the original competition at Erie Tech High School in Erie, Pennsylvania. They sold the show to The Samuel Goldwyn Company where the concept was enhanced and became American Gladiators. An effort in 2004 to launch a live American Gladiators show on the Las Vegas Strip became mired in a securities fraud prosecution. However, the television series was restarted in 2008. Episodes from the original series were played on ESPN Classic from 2007 to 2009. Several episodes are available for download on Apple's iTunes Service.

UFC All Access

UFC All Access was a reality television show which aired on Spike TV. Hosted by Rachelle Leah, UFC All Access went behind the scenes into the lives of Mixed Martial Arts fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship as they trained for their upcoming bouts. It usually aired during the week of a major UFC pay-per-view event. Spike TV stopped production on the series.

Living Lahaina also followed cast members throughout travels to Indonesia, California, and Kauai. Living Lahaina premiered on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 10:30 p.m. on MTV and was scheduled to run for eight episodes. However, only 3 episodes were shown on MTV. Following the style of MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, The Hills and Maui Fever, Living Lahaina was shot in the format of a scripted television show. Cast members did not speak directly to the camera. Instead, the show made use of a Dukes of Hazzard style voice-over narrative periodically throughout each episode, to give background or sum up storylines.
