Sightings is an American paranormal and news television series that originally aired from April 17, 1992 to August 1, 1997. The program began as a special titled The UFO Report: Sightings on October 18, 1991. The original Concept Creator and Supervising Producer of that hour special produced by Paramount for Fox TV was Linda Moulton Howe, an Emmy Award-winning TV producer and documentary filmmaker of TV specials about science and the environment. One of her Emmy award-winning broadcasts was A Strange Harvest, about the worldwide animal-mutilation mystery linked by law enforcement to extraterrestrial biological entities.

It was produced by Antix Productions and broadcast on the satellite and cable channels Living TV, Livingit, and Channel One. In the United States it was broadcast on the Travel Channel.

On 18 July 2003, the ITC sought views on proposed changes to the ITC Programme Code in relation to rules regarding the portrayal of occult and psychic practices on television. The referenced press release contains the following: In May this year, the ITC ruled that two programmes on the satellite channel, Living TV were in breach of the Programme Code, but would not have been had they been clearly presented as entertainment

Beyond Reason

Beyond Reason was a television quiz show seen throughout Canada from 1977 to 1980. Programmes featured a group of experts from various paranormal specialties attempting to find the identity of hidden visitors, resembling a combination of Front Page Challenge, What's My Line? and The Amazing World of Kreskin. This CBC Television series was recorded in Winnipeg. Hosts for most of the series run were journalist Allen Spraggett and CBC announcer Bill Guest. These hosts were replaced by Paul Soles in the show's final episodes.
