The Grand Mansion Gate

This Chinese period drama series follows the fortunes of a prominent merchant family engaged in Traditional Chinese Medicine during the waning years of the Ching dynasty. The affairs of this family of doctors/pharmacists (which in those days were one and the same) are intimately linked with social upheavals of the time such as the encroachment of Christian missionaries and foreign imperialism as well as conflicts that inevitably emerge in a large upper class family. Comparable in scope and production value to such recent titles as "Downton Abbey", the lives and character of both masters and servants intertwine in plot lines that spans more than a generation.

Su Dong Po

Su Shi was a statesman of the Song Dynasty, but perhaps best known one of the major poets of the era. He published his work under the pseudonym Dongpo Jushi (東坡居士 "Resident of Dongpo") and is therefore best known as Su Dong Po (蘇東坡). The focus of the story is the time of his first exile to the region of Huangzhou, Hubei, just prior to writing the first and second part of "The Red Cliffs" (Chibi Fu).

A Love Never Lost

After the Gengzi Kingdom changed, the land of China was devastated, and young people with aspirations rose up to save their homeland. Aristocratic youth Liang Xiang, revolutionary party Yang Kaizhi, and Beiyang Wuyou Guardian Li Renjun became the first batch of progressive young people who went to Japan to study at a non-commissioned officer’s school. They met revolutionary exiles Yu Tianbai and Qiu Hong on a cruise ship. Since then, the five people have been fatefully linked.

Medical Gibang Cinema

The story revolves around three gisaeng (Korean geishas) who specialize in sex therapy, with offering sex as the preferred treatment method. Their clients range from a high-profile royalty (a crowned prince who reveals a peculiar sexual dysfunction) to other prominent figures who suffer from impotence and low libido.

The Hostess

The series is set in the mining town of Anikanovo. It is almost entirely run by Alina Khmelevskaya, a powerful and cruel woman. The main character of the film is Natasha Suvorova, who works at the mine to support her son. Her life changes when she meets the son of the "mistress", Alexander. The son takes a liking to the young mother, and the whole town soon learns about it. Including his mother, Alina Khmelevska. She is not happy about her son's new hobby and decides to get rid of Suvorova.
