Helena

When his father passes away, Estácio (Osmar Prado) and his aunt Úrsula (Ida Gomes) receive his will and are surprised to discover that most of the inheritance was left to Helena (Lúcia Alves), a previously unknown daughter. In the will, her father asks that his daughter be taken in by her relatives. The news infuriates Úrsula, who has been in charge of the family business and caring for Estácio since his mother passed away, and does not accept Helena willingly, seeing her as an intruder in the family. In addition to Úrsula, someone who is not pleased with the girl's arrival is Dr. Camargo (Rogério Fróes), father of Eugênia (Ângela Valério), Estácio's fiancée. Even so, Estácio obeys his father's request and takes the girl to live with his family. Helena has a cheerful and outgoing temperament and her arrival affects everyone's lives. At first, she is hostile to Úrsula, but later wins her sympathy.

The Wars of the Roses

The Wars of the Roses was a 1963 theatrical adaptation of William Shakespeare's first historical tetralogy (1 Henry VI, 2 Henry VI, 3 Henry VI & Richard III), which deals with the conflict between the House of Lancaster & the House of York over the throne of England, a conflict known as the Wars of the Roses. The plays were adapted by John Barton, and directed by Barton himself & Peter Hall at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The plays were heavily politicized, with Barton and Hall allowing numerous contemporaneous events of the early 1960s to inform their adaptation. The production was a huge critical & commercial success, and is generally regarded as revitalizing the reputation of the Henry VI plays in the modern theatre. Many critics feel The Wars of the Roses set a standard for future productions of the tetralogy which has yet to be surpassed. The 1965 broadcast was so successful that they were shown again, as 11 episodes, each 50 minutes long, in 1966.

PDQ is an American television game shows created by Heatter-Quigley Productions. The objective was to guess a word or a given phrase in the shortest amount of time with the fewest letters given as possible. It was syndicated by Four Star Television which aired from September 6, 1965 to September 26, 1969, primarily on NBC-owned stations but syndicated in markets where NBC didn't own a station. PDQ was named after its original sponsor, a flavored drink mix. The show and product shared logos, although on the show the initials stood for "Please Draw Quickly".

Oh Yeah! Cartoons was an American animation showcase that appeared on the Nickelodeon cable channel. Oh Yeah! was an animation project guided by Fred Seibert, former Creative Director of MTV Networks and President of Hanna-Barbera. The Bing Crosby Show is a 28-episode situation comedy television program starring crooner, film star, iconic phenomenon, and businessman Bing Crosby and actress Beverly Garland as a middle-aged couple, Bing and Ellie Collins, rearing two teenaged daughters during the early 1960s. In the format, Crosby portrayed a former entertainer turned architectural designer with a penchant for singing, and each episode usually contained at least one song. Produced by Crosby's own company, affiliated with Desilu Studios and subsequently CBS Paramount Television, the series aired on ABC from September 14, 1964, to April 19, 1965. Rebroadcasts continued until June 14. The roles of the daughters Janice and Joyce Collins were played by Carol Faylen and Diane Sherry, respectively. After all, now he is the owner of the first sex shop in his hometown, and he urgently needs to make sure that such outlandish products for the local population as "Aladdin's Cave" and "Banana Bully" are properly sold so that his son does not end up in a juvenile colony, and his wife is a "model" at the men's club.

In as much the same adventurous spirit as those who galloped headlong into a wild new territory in the Land Run of 1889, the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) has ventured into the rugged world of dramatic filmmaking. The result is "Oklahoma Passage," a five-part mini-series tracing 150 years of Oklahoma's history. "Oklahoma Passage" focuses on the fictional Benton family. Through the eyes of six generations, the viewer witnesses more than 150 years of life in Oklahoma, from the Cherokee Indians' settlements in the mid-1830's through the Civil war years, the Land Run of '89, the constitutional convention leading to statehood in 1907, the feast of the oil boom in the teens and '20s, the famine of the Dust Bowl and beyond, climaxing in the near future with an Oklahoma-born astronaut taking the first step in man's journey to Mars.
