A Recipe for the Heart

A heartwarming drama about two chefs competing for the coveted title of “Master of All Chefs”, “A Recipe for the Heart” is a delightful combination of gracefully concocted food and great comedy. Shek (Chun Pui) was the chef as well as the owner of the restaurant Delicious Garden. He disappeared after defeating by his good friend Shan (Bobby Au-Yeung) in a cooking contest, leaving behind his wife Yuen (Lydia Shum) and his daughter So So (Esther Kwan). Shan then disguised as Kut to help the two women and inspired So to be a good chef. The two became an odd couple but admired each other. Their relationships got complicated when Song (Jessica Hester Hsuan) claimed to be Kut’s fiancee... .

Scavengers' Paradise

Mainland youngster TANG WAI CHEUNG (KWOK CHUN ON) looks for his future father-in-law LING SING PO (CHUN WONG) with an old Hong Kong address passed on by his late mother. Unfortunately, PO moved a long time ago. With nowhere else to stay, CHEUNG lives with his young uncle TANG KING CHAN (MA KWOK MING). CHAN bluffs to his relatives about his wealth, but in fact, he is seriously in debt. In order to pay off CHAN’s debt, CHEUNG takes any jobs that he can find, and experiences the real world. CHEUNG and his flatmate CHENG PIK WAN (WU, MYOLIE) encourage each other to work hard and slowly fall in love. Journey to the West

Journey to the West is a Hong Kong television series adapted from the classical novel of the same title. Starring Dicky Cheung, Kwong Wah, Wayne Lai and Evergreen Mak, the series was produced by TVB and was first broadcast on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in November 1996. A sequel, Journey to the West II, was broadcast in 1998, but the role of the Monkey King was played by Benny Chan instead, due to contract problems between Dicky Cheung and TVB. Cheung later reprised the role in another television series The Monkey King: Quest for the Sutra, which was broadcast on TVB but not produced by the station.

Wong Fei Hung Returns

So (Dicky Cheung), the only son of a landlord in the countryside, had had a quarrel with a retired eunuch and thus escaped to the city with his fiancee, Kwai (Lam Yi Kei), and his fellowman, Wing (Chiang Chi Kwong). They met Hung and again they started a dispute. In the end, they made peace and So even asked to become Hung’s student. However, Hung refused. So, nevertheless, followed Hung and made friends with his students, Gai (Ho Po Sang), Chi (Andy Hui), Kwan (Tsang Wai Kuen) and Hing (Yip Yuk Ping). Whilst So was having fun at Hung’s school, “Po Chi Lam”, he also started a complicated relationship with Yan (Winnie Lau), who had returned from abroad, and Chu (Gigi Lai), a young prostitute. Then, he had row with Bo (Bobby Au Yeung) who set him up and accused him of wrong doings which also involved Hung and his students. The eunuch with whom So had quarreled also appeared to get his revenge. What could So do?

Men Don't Cry

Men Don't Cry is a TVB period comedy series broadcast in October 2007, to celebrate TVB's 40th Anniversary. The shown was rerun from Thursday, January 29, 2009 to February 26, 2009 from Monday to Friday at 12:05am on TVB Jade in Hong Kong. The Chinese title is a reference to Shi Jian, who had played as villains in many Wong Fei Hung movies featuring Kwan Tak Hing as Wong Fei Hung, and later in TVB's television series. Reversing the trends set by previous Wong Fei Hung stories, the title archvillain assumes the leading role of the series, with Wong Fei Hung as the supporting role.

The Legend of Master So

SO TSAN, better known as Beggar So, is one of the ten best Kung-Fu maters known in Canton, the ‘Canton Ten Tigers‘, in the 1920's. My Hero

My Hero is a BBC sitcom created by Paul Mendelson. The programme ran for six series, first broadcast in February 2000, and concluding in September 2006. Catweazle
